The Latrobe Valley is one of Victoria's best kept secrets.There are many and varied places to see and activities to enjoy in Morwell and the Latrobe Valley.
POWERWORKS -- Spectacular Industrial Tourism
The Latrobe Valley is Victoria's powerhouse. Stand beside large coal dredges deep in an open cut mine and inspect large steam powered turbines at work. Tours include audio visuals and interactive displays within the Powerworks building.
Night time dining and tours of the mine and power stations are also available.
WALHALLA AND MOUNTAIN RIVERS TRAIL
Take a fascinating and varied drive to some of Victoria's most spectacular pioneer and scenic attractions on the Walhalla and Mountains and Rivers Trail. All sealed roads lead to the Walhalla historic town, mountains and forests. Attractions include Walhalla Goldfields Railway and the Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine

GIPPSLAND HERITAGE PARK
Take a trip into the past at Gippsland Heritage Park at Moe. A recreated pioneer village features typical buildings of a bygone era.
THOMSON RESERVOIR
The Thomson Reservoir supplies water to both Melbourne and the Central Gippsland Irrigation System.
The Reservoir catchment covers 48,700 hectares and is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for timber production, water production, flora and fauna conservation and recreation.
